Terms & Conditions of Membership 2019

1. CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP
These Terms & Conditions supersede all previous terms and conditions of the Privilege Club Programme
“Grecotel Hotel” is any hotel property currently under the management of Grecotel S.A. and the N. Daskalantonakis Group
“Privilege Club” is the loyalty programme of Grecotel S.A.
“Awards & Vouchers” are the offers, which can be redeemed using Privilege Club Points and include “Redemption Vouchers”.
“A Privilege Club Member” or ‘’Member’’ is any person who has completed an official registration and accepted the Club Terms & Conditions.
“Privilege Club Card” or “Card” is the membership card issued by Grecotel S.A. to a person who is a Member of the Grecotel Privilege Club Programme
“Privilege Club Points” or “Points” are the reward currency earned by using the Privilege Club Card.
“Privileges” are the amenities and services provided to Members as a benefit of membership.
“Programme Partner” is a third party which offers privileges or awards to Privilege Club Members.
“Redemption” is a form of payment using Privilege Club Points as a tender to acquire goods and services defined by the Privilege Club.
The Privilege Club Card is issued by and remains the property of Grecotel S.A.
It is not a credit card and is free of charge
1.3 Cancellation of Membership:
Grecotel reserves the right to decline to issue or withdraw Privilege Club membership at any time, or to terminate the validity of the Privilege Club membership together with the benefits attached thereto at any time. The Privilege Club Card must be returned without delay to Grecotel when requested. Cancellation of membership will result in the loss of all accumulated Points.
1.4 Termination Date:
The Privilege Club Programme has no predetermined termination date and may continue until such time as Grecotel decides to terminate it , with or without notice. The Privilege Club accepts no responsibility for any points that remain in members’ accounts after such termination.
1.5 Programme Changes:
Grecotel reserves the right to amend, update or change any aspect pertaining to the Privilege Club Programme including the Terms & Conditions, at any time in whole or in part without advising Members. Continued participation in the Club will constitute a Member’s acceptance of any such amendment, modification, or supplementation. Members are responsible for remaining knowledgeable of the Club Terms and any changes, modifications, or additions to the Club Programme.
1.6 Partners responsibility
: Grecotel is not responsible for Programme Partner withdrawals from the Privilege Club Programme, which may affect the Awards offered.
1.7 Programme Notifications:
The Privilege Club will endeavour to advise Members of matters of interest, including notification of changes to details of promotions and other offers. However, the Privilege Club accepts no liability for correspondence lost or delayed in the postal system or via electronic mail.
1.8 Programme Corrections:
Grecotel reserves the right to change the printed offers at any time and to correct any typographical errors, errors of description, or errors regarding participating properties and Club Partners at any time without informing members.
1.9 Printed information & Website:
All details in the latest Privilege Club printed materials and the official website form part of these Conditions of Membership.
1.10 Member’s Security:
When a Member contacts the Privilege Club representatives, for security reasons Grecotel may request date of birth and/or other information to verify the Member’s identity.
The Privilege Club designated officers will only engage in communication with the registered Member.
1.12 Sale or Barter of Points:
The sale or barter of any Privilege Club Points, Awards & Vouchers or other card benefits is prohibited.
1.13 Lost / Stolen Cards:
In case the Club Card is lost, stolen or damaged the Member must inform the Privilege Club Membership Services office immediately in writing to the email indicated below.
1.14 Contact Details:
Any correspondence sent to Members is based on the contact details provided to Grecotel. Each Member is responsible for updating his/her information on the official website, in writing to the Privilege Club Membership Services office or at any Participating Hotel.
1.15 Interpretation of Terms:
All interpretations of these Terms & Conditions of Membership shall be at the sole discretion of Grecotel.
1.16 Legal Jurisdiction:
These Conditions of Membership are governed by the laws of and are applicable in the Republic of Greece. In the event of any dispute, the Member agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Greece.
1.17 Availability at Hotels:
Members are responsible to check with the relevant Grecotel Hotel for the availability of any special offer that could affect the enjoyment of their visit. The Member should ask upon arrival at the hotel for any additional benefits valid for that property. All services, amenities and benefits are subject to availability and subject to the terms and conditions of each Participating Hotel. Not all services, amenities and benefits are offered at all Participating Hotels. Grecotel may update benefits shown as available or credited to a Member at any time.
1.18 Limited by Length of Stay:
Selected Privileges may be limited depending on length of stay.
All Privileges, Vouchers and Awards are subject to availability.
1.20 Club communication:
The Club will communicate with members via e-mail, post or any other medium which is considered appropriate. The Company reserves the right to inform its members about activities of the N. Daskalantonakis Group of Companies, as well as third party activities associated with the above Group of Companies.
2. Application for Membership
Membership in the Privilege Club is free of charge and is available to any individual over the age of 18 who:
possesses the legal authority to agree to the Club Terms;
resides in a jurisdiction that legally permits participation in the Club
provides valid and accurate personal information when enrolling in the Club
2.1.4 is not already a member of other loyalty programmes operated by Grecotel
(including Counter Club or Vacation Club)
is not a member of the travel trade; employee of Grecotel S.A. or the N. Daskalantonakis Group and associated companies.
has not previously been terminated from any loyalty programme operated by Grecotel.
2.2 Mandatory Fields:
Grecotel may reject any application if mandatory information is not supplied accurately and in full.
2.3 Termination of Account:
The Member may terminate membership by submitting a written notice, signed by the Member, to the Privilege Club head offices. Membership will be terminated immediately upon receipt of such notice. All unredeemed Privilege Club Points will be forfeited immediately and will not be reinstated or transferred.
2.4 Inactive Membership
Members become inactive if they have not visited a Grecotel:
• Member Entry Level 3 years
• White 3 years
• Blue 5 years
• Platinum 5 years
As soon as the Member revisits a Participating Hotel, membership will be re-activated. The Privilege Club reserves the right to cancel memberships that remain inactive for a period of ten (10) years.
2.5 Fraudulent Activity
. If a Member suspects or learns of any fraudulent activity related to their Member account, including, without limitation, unauthorized redemption or transfer of Privilege Club Points, the Member must report the fraudulent activity within 60 days of it occurring to the Privilege Club Head Office. Credit or debit of any Points in question to the Member will be at Grecotel’s sole discretion. The Privilege Club reserves the right to cancel any Membership account that has been registered using fraudulent details.
3. The Cards & Categories
The Privilege Club Card is not transferable
. It can only be used by the cardholder.
Each issued Privilege Club Card has an exclusive membership number
The Privilege Club membership is available only to individuals
. Not to companies, partnerships, associations, groups or other entities. Grecotel may refuse membership without a given reason.
3.4 Member & Card Categories:
• Member Entry Level
: Member entry levels will receive 3000 entry base points once they join the Privilege Club. The Member entry level members will not receive any card until their second stay in which they will also be automatically promoted to the White Tier.
• White Card
: The White Card is issued upon the second and is valid until the Member reaches Blue status.
• Blue Card
: The Blue Card is issued when the member has collected 120,000 points and is valid for life.
• Platinum Card
: The Platinum Card is issued when the member has collected 240,000 points.
The Card Categories are valid for life unless differently specified. The Club Card is only at Grecotel Hotels, Partner Properties and with Official Partners as listed on the official Grecotel Privilege Club website (privilegeclub.grecotel.com
4. Earning Privilege Club Points
See Club official web site for correct points earning methods.
4.1 Status & Award Points:
Club Points are the reward currency of the Club.
There are two types of Privilege Club Points:
: are credited for each eligible transaction and cannot be redeemed. Status Points reflect the category (Member entry level, White, Blue or Platinum) of the Member.
: are credited for each eligible transaction by the Member and can be redeemed.
Status Bonus Points
: as currently declared on privilegeclub.grecotel.com
4.2 Presentation of Card:
To receive points, Members must present a valid Privilege Club Card to the Hotel Reception at the time of check–in. In the event that the card is not shown, Privilege Club Points will not be credited. Allow 7 days after the transaction (departure from the hotel) for Privilege Club Points to reach the Members’ Account.
Grecotel reserves the right to correct any Privilege Club Point values or statements at any time or when the error is realized.
4.4 Missing points:
If the Member wishes to claim any adjustment to the number of Privilege Club Points credited or for retroactive Privilege Club Points, the Member must do so within twelve months from date of the hotel visit, by sending written details to Privilege Club Membership Services, with a copy of the bill for which the Member did not receive the correct number of Privilege Club Points. Failure to supply the adequate documentation may result in the denial of such Points’ credit. Grecotel reserves the right to decline any retroactive Points requests.
4.5 Member’s Account:
Members may view their Privilege Club Points on privilegeclub.grecotel.com
or at the participating Grecotel Hotels. After every transaction the Privilege Club Member is responsible to check the accuracy of the numbers of points earned.
4.6 One Card / Room:
Points will be credited only to one card for each room bill. The points will be credited to the main name on the reservation.
4.7 Booked Room Type:
For visits to a Grecotel Hotel, the number of Privilege Club Points awarded will be based upon the room type booked and paid for, even if a different room type is provided.
4.7.1. Standard points are awarded for standard guestroom bookings and standard suite bookings.
4.7.2. Suite points are awarded for higher types of suite bookings.
4.7.3. Villa points are awarded for all villa bookings.
4.8 Non-Resident bookings:
Members will not earn points when making a reservation for another person even if the reservation is in the Member’s name.
4.9 Additional Rooms:
Privilege Club Points are only earned by the Member on additional rooms if:
the Member is staying at the same hotel at the same time
all rooms are reserved and registered in the Member’s name
the Member pays for all rooms.
all room bookings are made directly with the hotels or through hotels website.
The maximum number of rooms that can be credited to the member’s account per visit is three (3). In the event that the reservation is for more than 3 rooms in different categories, then the member’s must choose which ones to include in his account.
4.10 Non–eligible accommodation rates
are defined as:
Airline crew rates
Travel industry employee rates
Group bookings (including reservations for over 10 rooms, conference, corporate events)
When the Member’s accommodation is paid by other party (e.g. company events, conferences)
Grecotel employee rates.
Barter, complimentary and redemption (free) stays.
Members of the Grecotel Counter Club and Vacation Club do not receive points for reservations using their subscription.
4.11 Eligible Charges
Eligible charges will receive points only
if they are charged to the room bill.
Members receive points on hotel services including:
Food & drinks in the hotels restaurants and bars
Spa therapies and products
Laundry and dry cleaning
4.12 Non-Eligible Charges
Taxes and service charges
Any item that is paid to a hotel department directly in cash
Conference, banqueting and event charges
Any bills paid on behalf of the Member to a third party and charged to their room bill.
4.13 Transferring Points:
Privilege Club Points cannot be transferred to any other Member account.
4.14 Pre-membership Points:
Points cannot be credited for visits to a Participating Hotel before the guest completes the loyalty registration process.
4.15 Bonus points
4.15.1 Member Level
When new guests enroll to The Privilege Club they will automatically receive 3000 bonus base points.
4.15.2 Seasonal Promotions
At its discretion, The Privilege Club may award Bonus Points on an ad hoc basis including but not limited to seasonal double points, activity awards. Where limited dates apply to a promotion, only Member’s activity within the specified dates will be eligible for Bonus Points. Bonus Points will be credited as basic points and Blue and Platinum bonuses do not apply.
4.15.3 Category Bonus Points
Blue and Platinum Members will receive bonus points for activity relating to their account. These bonus points will only be credited from the time that the Member reaches the Blue or Platinum status and for their duration in that status.
A Member may earn Privilege Club Points by purchasing merchandise or services from companies that are affiliated with the Club as listed on the Club website (privilegeclub.grecotel.com
) under "Partners". Club Points earned in connection with the purchase of merchandise or services are subject Club Terms along with any applicable terms and conditions of the Partner.
4.17 Corporate Points
If the Member’s accommodation is paid by his/her employer, principal or client, the Member is responsible for notifying his/her employer, principal or client of any Club Points received and for complying with any applicable laws, gift policies and incentive policies.
The Member agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Grecotel and associated companies from any liability, costs and damages relating to claims of any third party arising from a failure to disclose the receipt of Privilege Club Points or any other incentives.
5.1 Presentation of Card:
To receive Club Discounts from a Participating Hotel or Club Partner (shops, car hire, etc.), a valid Club Card must be presented at the time of ordering/reservation and before payment is concluded. Failure to do so will result in no discount.
5.2 Cash Transactions:
Hotel service discounts (food & drinks, spa, etc.) are not available on cash transactions. The discounts will be deducted from the Member’s final accommodation invoice on departure.
6. In Hotel Benefits & Services
The Privilege Program and any member benefits are subject to change. Member's benefits are subject to availability. Only the cardholder Member is entitled to the benefits associated with the loyalty card.
6.1 A Grecotel Beach Bag
with Towels and beach accessories will be given to Platinum members in the following hotels: Amirandes, Caramel, Creta Palace, Corfu Imperial, Olympia Riviera & Cape Sounio.
6.2 Unpacking service & clothes pressing
is offered upon arrival. Members should inform the Hotel at least 24 hours prior to their arrival. Maximum 2 garments for pressing.
6.3 Status bonus points
are calculated on the total Base points of the visit. Status bonus points are not calculated on Tier points.
6.4 Complimentary a la cart dinner
voucher is obtained with member welcome package when member has 5 nights minimum stay. One voucher per stay. The voucher should be submitted to the restaurant staff upon being seated. Dinner details will be presented by the restaurant staff and may vary by hotel.
6.5 The Elixir Spa Thalassotherapy pool
is available at Club Marine Palace, Olympia Riviera Thalasso, Kos Imperial and Daphnila Bay.
6.6 Faster in room internet access
is complimentary for all members.
Member Entry Level & White - normal speed and up to 4 devices | Blue - high speed and up to 5 devices | Platinum - very high speed and unlimited devices.
Internet speed may vary by hotel.
For Priority check - in
form must be submitted at least 24 hours prior to member's arrival.
cocktail vouchers are obtained with member's welcome package. The voucher should be submitted to the bar staff upon being seated. Drink details will be presented by the bar staff and may vary by hotel. Available for members with 5 nights minimum stay.
7. Redemption of Privilege Club Points
See: Club official web site for current redemptions options.
Redemption Vouchers are subject to availability
which may limit offering all products and services offered by the Club or any of the Club Partners. Redemption of Vouchers may also be limited during certain times of the year.
7.1 Inactive Members
are not eligible to redeem points for free nights until their membership has been re-activated.
7.2 Declined Redemption:
Grecotel reserves the right to decline a Redemption if the correct procedure is not adhered to.
7.3 Registered Member:
Club Points may only be redeemed by the registered Member for Redemption Vouchers as specified by Grecotel.
7.4 Available Points:
In order to qualify for a voucher, the Member must have sufficient Points in their account before the requested redemption date. Points collected during current stays cannot be redeemed.
7.5 Name on Voucher:
The Voucher is issued in the member’s name or to a third party as authorized by the Member (gift voucher).
7.6 Replacing Vouchers:
Vouchers will not be replaced, reissued or credited if lost, stolen, expired or otherwise destroyed.
Club Points and Redemption Vouchers are not exchangeable for cash and no change for outstanding amounts will be given. Privilege Club Points can only be used in exchange for Redemption Vouchers.
7.8 Transaction Date:
Club Points are deducted from the Member’s account on the day that the Redemption Voucher is issued.
7.9 Points Required:
The number of points required for each redemption is in accordance with the current Privilege Club Redemption List on web official site.
Redemption Vouchers must be used:
7.10.1 For Free Nights:
on the dates confirmed on the voucher
7.10.2 For hotel & partner services:
12 months from the date of issue unless otherwise stated on the voucher.
7.11 Fraudulent Use:
Vouchers believed to have been bartered, sold, exchanged, or issued fraudulently, or issued to someone other than the eligible Privilege Club Member, will be void and will not be honored.
7.12 Hotel Service Redemption Vouchers
Hotel Service Vouchers include food and drinks, spa etc.
: The Member must complete and sign a Redemption Application Form.
All Redemption Vouchers are valid from the date the Voucher has been issued till the end of the season. Once expired, Vouchers will not be reissued nor, will Privilege Club Points be re–credited to a Member’s account.
: To claim a Redemption Voucher, Members must contact the Reception or Guest Relations Representatives at any Grecotel Hotel or the Privilege Club Head Offices.
: All Redemption Vouchers can be issued during members active stays - members must stay in the hotel in order to be able to use their vouchers.
: Redemption Vouchers may be cancelled within 3 days of issue. Guest Relations Department/Reception in the hotel or the Privilege Club Head Offices must be informed of any cancellations. Privilege Club Points will then be re–credited to the Member’s Account. If Voucher is not officially cancelled, Points will not be re–credited.
7.13 Free Stay Vouchers
Members who have collected the required number of points must apply in writing
for a free stay voucher from the Club head office or through the Club.
For Grecotel Resorts:
allow at least 1 month before the arrival date of the requested visit. The Privilege Club head office requires at least 10 working days to process each request.
For City Hotels
: allow at least 3 working days
before the requested arrival date
The amount of Privilege Club Points needed
to obtain rooms at Participating Hotels varies by the category of the Hotel and the category of rooms available and may also vary by time of year. A list of Participating Hotel categories is available on the Privilege Club website under "Redeem
". Grecotel may change the category in which a specific Participating Hotel is classified at any time.
7.13.2 Name on Voucher:
The Voucher is issued in the Member’s names or to a third party designated by the Member (Gift Voucher). The voucher may only be used by the named person on the Voucher.
7.13.3 Maximum Redemption:
Free Stay Vouchers are issued for one night or multiples thereof up to a maximum of 7 nights
/ per Member.
7.13.4 Board Basis:
Each Voucher is valid for accommodation and breakfast for Exclusive Hotels & City Hotels, accommodation and all-inclusive package for All Inclusive Hotels, accommodation and lux me package for LUX ME Hotels.
7.13.5 Room Availability:
Vouchers are issued according to room availability - and for a single or double occupancy for standard rooms and suites.
The Voucher must be given to the hotel reception on arrival. The guest using the Free Stay Voucher may be required at check-in to show proper identification and provide a credit card to the Participating Hotel for incidental charges.
The Member must inform the Club Headquarters of any cancellations. If Voucher is not officially cancelled, Points will not be credited.
The standard Grecotel cancellation policies will apply to Club reservations - redemptions including, without limitation. Based on all minimum length of stay requirements, credit card guarantee requirements and charges for late cancellation, no-shows and early check-out.

No-Show penalty: 50% of the full stay points.
Early check-out: For non-emergency early departures 50% of the remaining stay points will be charged.
7.14 Application Instructions
7.15 Hotel Extra Bills
The Member must send the completed Free Stay Request Form to the Privilege Club head office.
The Privilege Club administrator will check that the Member has the necessary points.
Depending on hotel availability, the Member will be informed if the requested dates are not available.
Where the dates are confirmed, the Privilege Club will issue a Voucher by post or email to the Member’s registered address.
It is recommended for our Privilege Club Members not to book any flight tickets or make any holiday bookings in advance, until he/she has received the voucher.
The Member may combine the free voucher with a tour operator or direct booking for additional days.
Vouchers cannot be used as part of an existing/confirmed booking.
: The offer does not include extra charges in the hotel (extra meals, drinks, telephone etc.), flights or airport transfers.
7.16 Privileges & Points during Free Stay:
All Club privileges are valid during the free stay. Points will not be credited during a free stay.
Free Holiday Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash or refunds at any hotel or with any third party (including travel agent, tour operator)
All Free Holiday redemption bookings must be made through the Privilege Club head office

Our company only collects your personal data with your consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your personal data.
By submitting their information on the membership application form, the members indicate their consent for Grecotel to process their personal details for membership in the Privilege Club programme
